Ngipi Ward

This is the artist’s home country – far to the west of Patjarr, in the Gibson Desert. Yirril rockhole and Tjintiwarra rockhole are both important sites, associated with wiratju (barn owl) tjukurrpa. This is the country that Ngipi grew up in and the stories associated with these places were passed on to her by her mother.
