Karilywara rockhole (Patjarr) – 2018
Painting – 762mm x 1524mm: acrylic on canvas
This painting depicts the major rockhole of Patjarr community at the centre of the canvas. This rockhole provided an important water source for the many families who lived in Patjarr prior to White Contact. At the bottom right of the canvas is Mina Mina, a nature reserve and soak, to the west of Patjarr, also a very significant site and full of claypans and birdlife.
